Dear Author - Guidelines

nicholas_lucienThis is a (hopefully) helpful guideline if you decide to write a fanfic for me (thankyou thankyou thankyou).
I actually like tons of stuff. Though I will read other fandoms, I generally stick with Forever Knight without any crossovers or fusions. But you can always sneak a little something in if you really want to! I have no preference for ratings, so feel free to write at whatever level is comfortable for you.
In Forever Knight, my favorite season is season 2 (though season 3 did have some really good episodes). You get all my favorite characters together and interacting in season 2: Nick, LaCroix, Janette, Nat, and Schanke. As for other secondary characters, Divia is the best, though I have also used Fleur in my own fanfics.
As for factions, I tend to lean towards Unnamed Faction (UF) Nick/LaCroix. Feel free to turn any story into Nick/LaCroix, whether used in the story or implied, both are great! Recently I also consider Valentines (Nat/LaCroix) as viable as well. I'm also a Twilight Knightie at heart, so I think Nick finding a balance (and still staying a vampire drinking blood) is the best outcome. If he wants to make-up for what he did for centuries, he will need more than a single mortal lifetime to accomplish that. Along those same lines, Nat should be brought across; I have no preference as to whether she totally embraces vampirism or is using it just to get more time to find a cure. As for other things, I love info about the various objects Nick has, and apparently I am a CaddyWhacker - I absolutely love stories that involve anything to do with the Caddy. To help with that, I have many images here which show parts of a Cadillac. I also write info about specific topics and episodes and can be found on my Live on the Air series. The ones specific to the Caddy can be found here.
I love when science is added into stories! It's a cold, calculating, logical aspect that can be fun to work with. Casefics are nice too, either as a main counterpoint of the story or just something occurring in the background.
Ah canon - the bonds that hold so much together. As Divia and LaCroix have said: let go your ... bonds. I love when canon is used in new ways, or pushed to its limit, the logical end conclusion. With some canon there can be more than one way to interpret it, so have fun with it!
Topics I generally don't prefer to read: mpreg, f/f, stories with Vachon as a major character (I'll be honest, I dislike him even as a minor character), saying the Caddy is a '62 (I know - canon! - but the car is clearly shown with enough detail to see it is a '61 not a '62, though read my posts about the Caddy to find out what was going on with the '61/'62 confusion), traditionally non-canonical relationships other than the above-mentioned ones.
