This is an interesting analysis. It raises a number of questions that haven't been much dealt with in fan fiction. In particular, why did Nick come to Toronto? Well, no doubt partly because LaCroix wasn't there! But that certainly still leaves the question of how he was spending his time before metting Natalie.
